What we stand for
Taylor Defense Firm PC is built upon a foundation of four principles:
Professionalism, Intentionality, Empathy, and Persistence. Those guiding principles serve as the basis for every decision we make from the way we approach cases, to the hiring of personnel, to the way we interact with parties and opposing counsel. There is a right way to practice law, and we will do so.
Our Foundational Principles
Professionalism
Our justice system is premised on having good lawyers on both sides of an issue who present their claims for a determination. While tensions often run high, no case is ever worth an attorney’s reputation or integrity. Maintaining professionalism with everyone involved is essential maintaining the firm’s reputation. Fight hard, fight fair.
Our clients have entrusted their lives to us, and there is nothing we take more seriously. We will be client obsessed. Clients deserve a written explanation of what to expect in their case, what is the standard, and what is the law that will guide their case? If we are not willing to put that in writing, then we should not be saying it.
Intentionality
The practice of law should not be reactive, rather attorneys should always have a plan that advances their theory of the case and messaging to make the most compelling argument possible.
We will never allow our opponent to seize the initiative, but instead will intentionally employ our strategy to dictate the terms of the engagement to place our client in the best legal position possible.
Empathy
Every single client we represent is going through one of the worst times of their lives. No one needs a lawyer when things are going great. We will treat our clients like we would want to be treated, with patience and understanding as we guide them through this process.
Similarly, every dispute has a real person on the other side. We will always fight hard inside the courtroom, but treat everyone with dignity and respect as we advance our client’s interests.
Persistence
We do not accept allegations against our clients at face value, they are merely a starting point. Helpful information can always be found to protect our client’s interests and advance their legal position.
We reject the premise of an unwinnable case. While the odds may be stacked against us, hard work and diligence can uncover facts to improve our client’s legal position. Sometimes giving up is not an option, and we will not back down from a fight or allow our client to be bullied.
