What we stand for

Our justice system is premised on having skilled lawyers on both sides of an issue who present their claims for a fair determination. While tensions often run high, no case is ever worth an attorney’s reputation or integrity. Maintaining professionalism with everyone involved is essential to protecting the firm’s reputation. Fight hard; fight fair.

Our clients have entrusted their lives to us, and there is nothing we take more seriously. We are client-obsessed. You deserve a written explanation of what to expect, what the legal standards are, and the laws that will guide your case. If we are not willing to put it in writing, we should not be saying it.

The practice of law should not be reactive. Rather, an attorney should always have a plan that advances their theory of the case and utilizes specific messaging to craft the most compelling argument possible.

We will never allow our opponent to seize the initiative; instead, we intentionally employ our strategy to dictate the terms of the engagement, placing our clients in the best legal position possible. 

Every client we represent is going through one of the most difficult times of their lives; after all, no one needs a lawyer when things are going great. We treat our clients the way we would want to be treated, with the patience and understanding required to guide them through this process.

Similarly, every dispute involves a real person on the other side. While we will always fight hard inside the courtroom, we treat everyone with dignity and respect as we advance our clients’ interests.

We do not accept allegations against our clients at face value; they are merely a starting point. Helpful information can always be found to protect our clients’ interests and advance their legal position.

We reject the premise of an 'unwinnable' case. While the odds may be stacked against us, hard work and diligence can uncover facts to improve our clients' standing. Sometimes giving up is not an option, and we will not back down from a fight or allow our clients to be bullied.

As criminal defense attorneys and family lawyers, we deal with the worst of the worst; people who lie, cheat, steal, and say anything to get what they want.  It is our job to protect our clients from these people.
